Lenuta Giukin - Small cinemas 2026 -Re-thinking Trauma: Cinema, Performance, and Mediation - International Conference

 

Dear friends and colleagues,

The small cinemas conference is still under discussion with our colleagues in Malta. Since I am not sure when the CFP (which is ready) will come out, and if the conference will take place this year (it seems more likely to be organized in March 2027), I make the suggestion to join for a conference one of the best rated universities in Europe, Babes-Bolyai, in Cluj Romania.

 

Our colleague, Constantin Parvulescu, organized the small cinemas conference in Timisoara, and later, co-organized it in Cuj, with Claudiu Turcus. This time, the conference is organized by two other scholars, but it's in the gorgeous cosmopolitan city of Cluj.

 

The idea came to me late, after seeing the last call. The deadline is April 3rd (this coming Wednesday), but the organizers accept late submissions. The theme is excellent, opened to a large number of possibilities:
