various locations in Australia

I currently work two days a week as a Sound Engineer,
Broadcaster and Producer at the Ethnic Radio
Station also known as 3 ZZZ, 92.3 FM. My work there is
voluntary. It involves travel, filming and producing
interviews with different stories in Melbourne, Producing
and Directing the one hour program and at various
times creating advertisements as per sponsors' requests.

As an independent movie maker, I was involved in the
production of eight short documentaries and other
short feature films in my native country, Romania.
For several years as a teenager I also worked as a DJ at a
nightclub.
My hobbies include, electronics, photography, music,
tennis and bushwalking. I also speak Italian and
Romanian fluently.

My interest in film started since I was a little boy and
from an early age I managed to get hold of a camera
and create individual short films for me and my friends.

INDEPENDENT FILM MAKING CAREER
1. “Perseverance” (1978)
Sponsor: City Pioneer House
16mm colour format
Running time: 5 minutes
Fiction.
The story evolves inside a public park.
A five year old is building a castle in the sand.
Every time he tries to finish a construction an evil force
comes to destroy it.
The movie shoes three different evil forces
(circumstances): bad luck, carelessness and natural disaster.
It won the grand prize at the Romanian Independent Movie
Makers National Film Festival (1979).
2. “The Keys of Nera” (1978)
Sponsor: City Council
16 mm colour format
Running time: 11 minutes
Tourism campaign
The short film presents the beauty of a river cutting
through a chain of rock formations part of a Romanian
famous mountain.
3. “Reflection” (1976)
Sponsor: Local Government

Narration
The film analyses the success and struggle of seven local
companies.
4. “The Dream” (1975)
Sponsor: UGSR Union
16 mm b/w and colour format
Running time: 8 minutes
Fiction
The story emphasis the effect of war toys on children. A
very happy family, two kids, a boy and a girl. Girls
prefer flowers, boys prefer guns. Overnight the gun
becomes real.
Awarded third prize at the Independent Film Makers State
Festival.

The film was designed to promote new technology,
(underground systems and equipment) at the
INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF MINING. (Amsterdam)
2. “Oxygen” (1976)

Running time: 6 minutes
Educational.
The film tries to make employees aware of safety
regulations, in an industrial workshop and the
consequences if they are breached.
3. “ The Chain” (1976)
Sponsor: Safety Department of IMB

Running time: 10 minutes
Educational.
Re-enactments of three previous underground
mining accidents.
